Link an Individual to a Navigator
Navigators assist individuals with plan browsing and shopping. An Admin User can link an Individual account to a Navigator. The Admin User performs this action on behalf of the Individual. Use this guide to link an Individual account with a Navigator.
From the Home Page access the Admin Dashboard. |
Process Steps
To link an Individual account to a Navigator:
1. Click the Manage an Individual Account link in the Admin Dashboard.
· The Account Search screen is displayed.
2. Enter search criteria for the account to be linked to a Navigator:
a. Select Individual from the Role drop-down menu.
b. Enter the account holder’s first name in the First Name textbox.
c. Enter the account holder’s middle name in the Middle Name textbox.
d. Enter the account holder’s last name in the Last Name textbox.
e. Enter the account holder’s date of birth of in the Date of Birth textbox in the format MM/DD/YYY or select it from the calendar.
f. Enter the account holder’s social security number in the Social Security Number textbox in the format XXX-XX-XXXX.
g. Enter the application number in the Application ID textbox.
h. Enter the Application Received Date from and the Application Received Date to fields in the format MM/DD/YYYY or select them from the calendar.
None of the fields to enter/select search criteria is mandatory; however, at least one must be selected or entered for the search to be completed.

3. Click on the Search button.
· Accounts that match the criteria are displayed.
After the results are displayed, the search criteria can be modified by manually entering the new information. To clear the criteria, click the Reset button.

4. Select the radio button next to the account to be linked to a Navigator from the list of accounts retrieved in the search.
5. Select View Account from the Admin Functions dropdown menu and click Submit.
· The Admin View of the Individual Account dashboard is displayed.
6. Navigate to the My Navigator section on the bottom of the screen.
7. Click Search for a Navigator.
· The Search for a Navigator screen is displayed.
8. Enter search criteria for the Navigator:
a. Enter Navigator’s last name in the Last Name text box.
b. Enter Navigator’s agency in the Agency text box.
c. Enter Navigator’s serving zip code in the in the Serving Zip Code text box.
The search results display a list of the navigators that meet the search criteria. It displays the Navigator’s agency name, the Navigator’s name, location, language(s), hours of availability and gender. |
d. Select Navigator’s gender from the Gender drop-down menu.
e. Check the box(es) to select Navigator’s languages spoken. Options are English, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Spanish, French, Mandarin and Other.
f. Check the box(es) to select Navigator’s hours of availability. Options are: Regular Business Hours, Evening Hours, and Weekend Hours.
9. Click the Search button.
a. The Search Results – Please Select a Navigator screen is displayed.
The search results display a list of the navigators that meet the search criteria. It displays the Navigator’s agency name, the Navigator’s name, location, language(s), hours of availability and gender. |
10. Browse through the list of navigators that match the search criteria and locate the Navigator to be linked to the Individual account.
11. Select the radio button next to the Navigator to be linked to the Individual account and click Next.
· The Navigator Details screen is displayed.
12. Click Next.
· The Admin View of the Individual Account dashboard is displayed.
Results of the Procedure
The Individual account is linked to a Navigator.
