Tasks Overview
Task management provides a means for controlling, monitoring, and assigning tasks in RI UHIP. Task management functionality applies to all task types; appeals, exemptions, complaints, unverified information (Medicaid and QHP), MCI and special enrollment.
Three new functions support the task management process:
1. Task viewing
a. Administrative users can view all tasks
2. Task assignment:
a. Administrative users can assign tasks to other workers if they have the system privileges to do so (these privileges are typically held only by those who supervise others)
b. Administrative users can assign tasks to themselves if they have the system privileges to do so
3. Task monitoring
a. The Admin Dashboard has a Message Center section where admin users view task alerts
b. Alerts provide information about task status
c. Admin Users have the option to see historical information about a task by clicking on the Task History button
d. The system automatically generates reminders for overdue tasks
4. Task completion:
a. Administrative users can only act on tasks that are assigned to them
b. Alerts notify an administrative users that a task has been assigned to them
c. Alerts relay information to individuals (e.g., notifications to request additional documentation or advise that a hearing has been scheduled)
d. Alerts notify administrative users that individuals have submitted requested information
Access to tasks is defined by the role assigned to a user. The following table lists the tasks each user role can access and the actions they can perform. These are defaults based on the system role definition. At user set-up access to additional task types can be provided.
