User Manual Overview
Purpose
The Administrative User Manual provides step-by step instructions for using RI UHIP. Its intended audience is administrative users of the system including staff from the RI Department of Human Services (DHS), the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), and Contact Center employees. The Administrative User Manual is designed to assist these users by:
· Clarifying how to navigate within the system to conduct specific business processes;
· Providing step-by-step guidance for completing the transactions;
· Setting user expectations regarding the results of actions taken (e.g., what screens present); and
· Alerting users to related policy considerations, as appropriate, for the business area addressed.
The Administrative User Manual is not meant to take the place of bureau-specific policies or procedures that may exist or be created in the future. Its primary focus is to explain how to use the features and functionality comprising the RI UHIP system.
