View Information from External Sources

 

Use this guide to view information verified by external sources about an applicant.

 

 

 

From the Home Page access the Admin Dashboard screen.

 

Process Steps

 

To view information from external sources related to an application:

 

1.     Click on the Manage an Individual Account link in the Individual Administration section on the Admin Dashboard screen.

 

·         The Account Search screen is displayed.

 

2.     Enter the search criteria for the account:

 

a.   Select Individual from the Role drop-down menu.

 

b.  Enter the account holder’s first name in the First Name textbox.

 

c.   Enter the account holder’s middle name in the Middle Name textbox.

 

d.   Enter the account holder’s last name in the Last Name textbox.

 

e.   Enter the account holder’s date of birth in the Date of Birth textbox in the format MM/DD/YYYY.

 

f.   Enter the account holder’s social security number in the Social Security Number textbox in the format XXX-XX-XXXX.

      

g.  Enter the account number in the Account ID textbox.

 

h.   Enter the Application Received Date from and the Application Received Date to fields in the format MM/DD/YYYY or select them from the calendar.

 

3.     Click the Search button.

 

·         Accounts that match the search criteria are displayed.

 

4.     Select the radio button adjacent to the account which application is to be updated.

 

5.     Select View Information from External Sources from the Admin Functions drop down menu and click Submit.

 

·      The Most Recent Data Received page is displayed. This page lists the data points verified for the indivduals in an account, the external source used for the verificaiton, the date the verification was received (or N/A if unverified) and the self-attessed data provided by the applicant, if any. See the verified data items in the list below.

·      A tax household’s Annual Income is verified if the self-attested Annual Income is greater than 90% of the Annual Income  from the FDSH (IRS).

SWICA Wage Conversion  for Medicaid (Quarterly to Monthly/Yearly):

Take the last quarters income and divide it by 3 to get monthly income (As for Medicaid we adjust income to a monthly level and then compare)

Yes, only if FDSH (IRS) income data is unavailable, then the self-attested household income will be compared to the total household current wages from SWICA.

SWICA Wage Conversion for QHP/APTC/CSR (Quarterly to Monthly/Yearly):

Take the last quarter’s income and multiply it by 4 to get an annual income

Verification of Unemployment Income

Yes, current income is verified on Rhode Island SWICA (see explanation above)  and DLT-UI (Department of Labor and Training Unemployment Insurance) when no annual income is provided in the application. Current income can be used as annual income if the applicant does not enter any income in the "Total Income" field on the application.

[1] Annual Household income is verified on the Tax Household level.  Those applying for an exemption will also use this process for verification.  There could be multiple tax households in the same account.
